The victim, a Black male between the ages of 17 and 25was found with a single stab wound to the back. Emergency services rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospitalwhere he was pronounced dead. The incident has left the community reeling and has sparked a call to action from local officials.

According to reports, the altercation began around 8:30 p.m. and was witnessed by MTA Police patrolling the Throgs Neck Bridge. The group, consisting of approximately 12 to 15 individuals, scattered in different directions as authorities approached. The victim was left behind, with two abandoned scooters found near the crime scene.
Council Member Vickie Paladino took to social media to express her outrage and update her constituents in northeast Queens. She described the suspects as 15-year-old punks who showed no regard for law and order. Paladino also mentioned a recent encounter with one of the suspects, who cursed her out after she attempted to stop him from riding a scooter at high speed on the sidewalk.
