The Queens Supreme Court has handed down a 43-year prison sentence to a Far Rockaway man for the sexual abuse of his stepson, a crime that began when the victim was just 9 years old and continued for seven years.
The defendant, whose identity remains undisclosed to protect the victim, was found guilty by a jury on May 4, 2026on multiple counts including course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degreeendangering the welfare of a childand several other sexual abuse charges.

The abuse began around September 2016with the defendant initiating inappropriate contact with the child. The sexual abuse escalated over the years, involving oral and anal sexual contactand continued until 2026. The abuse temporarily subsided during the COVID-19 lockdown when more people were present in the household.
The abuse came to light in May 2026 when the victim courageously disclosed the years of suffering to his school principal and guidance counselor. The NYPD swiftly arrested the defendant following the disclosure.
