Aliyah one of the young swimmers, shared her excitement about the pool. “Going underwater. Yeah, I like opening my eyes because it doesn’t hurt. We were just playing tag,” she said, capturing the joy of a day spent splashing around.
Another swimmer, Rowan highlighted the confidence gained from swimming lessons. “We can swim without any floaties. I had swimming lessons, but Quinn didn’t get swimming lessons. She swam by herself and she could stay up,” Rowan noted, emphasizing the importance of water safety and skill-building.

Avion an ice cream enthusiast, offered some practical advice for staying cool. “Try looking for any places that are like free that you can like get in a pool because the pool like really cools you off like really good water and ice water, a lot of ice water” Avion suggested, highlighting the benefits of accessible cooling options.

The Paddock Chevrolet Spray Park on Brompton Road in the Town of Tonawanda was another hotspot for families during the first full week off from school. The spray park offered a fun and refreshing alternative to traditional pools, attracting crowds of kids and parents alike.
Luna one of the young visitors, shared her thoughts on staying safe in the sun. “Well, you don’t want to get sunburned and look like a tomato. The sun can do some crazy things to you, so it’s good to stay cool” Luna advised, underscoring the importance of sun protection.
Adrianna also enjoying the spray park, described her day of fun. “Me and Luna have been going on the slides and was splashing each other” Adrianna said, capturing the playful spirit of the day.
