The NYPD is actively pursuing four suspects responsible for a violent gang assault that occurred at the Queensbridge Houses on the evening of the 4th of July. The incident, which transpired around 11:35 p.m. has left the community in shock and authorities determined to bring those responsible to justice.

The altercation unfolded near the intersection of 41st Road and 10th Street an area adjacent to the Queensboro Bridge. According to police reports, a group of unidentified individuals approached two 18-year-old girls a 46-year-old woman a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl initiating a verbal dispute that quickly escalated into physical violence.

Violent Confrontation Leaves Multiple Injured

The situation turned violent when one of the 18-year-old girls was stabbed with an unknown sharp object on the right side of her neck. The other 18-year-old and the 46-year-old woman suffered minor injuries to their heads and faces after being struck by a glass bottle. The 13-year-old girl and the 14-year-old boy sustained minor injuries to their faces and eyes after being pepper-sprayed. The four suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

All five victims were promptly transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Queens Hospital in Astoria where they were listed in stable condition.

Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Suspects

The NYPD has released surveillance images of the suspects and is urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to their arrest and indictment. A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for tips that result in a successful prosecution.

The suspects are described as follows:

  • The first suspect, whose gender has not yet been determined, has a dark complexion with short black hair and was wearing a graphic t-shirt and blue jeans.
  • The second suspect is a woman with a dark complexion who was wearing a light-colored dress.
  • The third suspect is a woman with a dark complexion who was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark-colored shorts, multicolored sneakers, and a white bandana.
  • The fourth suspect is a woman with a dark complexion who was wearing a pink dress and white sneakers.

Through July 19, 2026 the 114th Precinct has reported 264 felony assaults so far in 2026, which is 85 fewer than the 349 reported at the same point last year. This represents a decline of 24.4% according to the most recent CompStat report.
