A Severe Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Suffolk, NY, until 9:15AM EDT, August 13. The warning was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Upton.
The warning covers eastern Suffolk County, including areas such as Southold, Mattituck, Sag Harbor, and Bridgehampton. At 6:14AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain, with between 1 and 2 inches of rain already fallen. An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible.
