The watch party outside Madison Square Garden is making a comeback for Game 4, but with security restrictions similar to those in place on Monday when President Donald Trump attended the game. These measures include screened entry and some street closures, as announced by the New York Police Department. Mayor Zohran Mamdani has urged fans to behave responsibly, stating, “We will not allow it to be disrupted by violence.”

The Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. has criticized city officials for what they perceive as overly restrictive measures. “We now know these restrictions were never about the President — it was just a convenient excuse to restrict how and when Knicks fans celebrate,” a statement from MSG said, highlighting the impact on local businesses.

A police spokesperson clarified that MSG requested a permit for between 500 and 1,000 fans and were granted the maximum number for a ticketed watch party. A spokesperson for MSG did not immediately respond to inquiries about their permit request.

DROM, an East Village music venue, will keep its kitchen open late for hungry Knicks fans. Printers Alley in Midtown offers a free select beer or seltzer with every ticket. Brooklyn
